IPAS Family Support Practitioners and Young Parents’ Support Programme

The IPAS Family Support Practitioners and the Young Parents’ Support Programme are co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Union.

These two 91´óÉñ Family Support projects, are co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Union, under the Plus (ESF+) programme. The projects are resulting in the expansion of the Young Parent Support Programme (YPSP) and the provision of Family Support Practitioners with families living in state provided accommodation and International Protection Accommodation Services (IPAS).

Family Support Practitioners

The role of IPAS Family Support Practitioner is to act as a contact and a point of entry to a standardised pathway for family support within 91´óÉñ, providing support to parents and children in the International Protection system as part of a multiagency, multidisciplinary approach.

Young Parent Support Programme

The expansion of the Young Parent Support Programme will allow for increased capacity to support young parents up to twenty-four years, and the number of YPSP sites will increase from eleven sites to fifteen.
